Choose the pure way
through Jesus Christ Part Two
In verse nine He made
His grave with the wicked because He was crucified between two very evil people
but notice Jesus was placed in the center. This is how much they hated Him.
When verse nine says, ... "And with the rich in His death." By the
way if you desire to read the original passage, I quoted it in Part One. He was
bruised in a sepulchre that belonged to Joseph who was an honorable counselor.
Jesus Christ did no evil and all this happened to Him because they hated the
Son of man who is the Son of God. He was charged with perverting Rome by sowing
good and yet He was called that deceiver. Verse nine says neither was there any
deceit in His month. 1 Peter 2:22. The bottom line is Jesus never offended in
word or deed. He responded soft at times but He also responded tough in other
situations but once again He never did it with the motive of trying to offend a
person or group. Even the judge that condemned Him confessed that he found no
fault in Him. Even a centurion that executed Jesus Christ Himself said that He
was a Righteous man. Here we see hateful hype prevailed in a group setting.
Where have we seen that in this world today? To many places to name. If you are
a victim of this believe me Jesus Christ understands your situation. Your best
chance is to turn to Him.
Verse seven says He
was oppressed and afflicted and did not open His month. He never plead His own
innocence but offered Himself freely to suffer and die for our sins. Jesus
Christ was lead as a lamb for the slaughter. The reason why Jesus Christ never
opened up His month is because He was in cheerful compliance with the will of
His Father. The Son of God suffered for our good.
We are all guilty
before God because Isaiah 53:6 says, "All we like sheep have gone
astray" ... so we are all charged with transgressions. This is in our
character. In fact Isaiah 53:4 says our sins are our sorrows and griefs.
Jesus Christ was
appointed and understood to make justification for our sins. The true Messiah
has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. The laying of our sins upon the Son of
God is the taking of them off from us so we will not fall under the curse of
the law if we submit to the grace of the gospel. The reason for this is because
they were laid upon Christ When He was made sin for us as sinful human beings.
Jesus Christ became the sin offering for us. This is why we can come to the Son
of God because He is the only One who can forgive our sins. God the Father had
the power to lay our sins on Christ. Jesus Christ is the Son of God and our
sins were committed against Him. Our iniquity was laid on the Person of Jesus
Christ.
If you want to exclude
yourself from this wonderful gift of having your sins forgiven just remember
that God laid upon His Son Jesus Christ your iniquity and He consented to this
task because He loves us beyond our capacity to understand. Yes Jesus Christ
undertook our debt and underwent the penalty. Verse four says He bore our
griefs. He took both away because grief always comes with sin. You may say I
can sin without grief. No we can not and there is never an exception to this
rule. The amount of grief depends on how we transgressed against
God.
Jesus Christ was
wounded for our sins. Our transgressions were the thorns in His head, the nails
in His hands / feet and the spear in His side. He was bruised for our
iniquities and that was the cause of His death. All of this should have been
placed on us but because of the love of God He did all this for humanity. We
receive the forgiveness of our sins, peace and the love of God in our hearts if
we invite Him into our life. The chastisement of our peace was upon Him because
He is our peace. Try getting peace any other place and we will always come
short. "For He is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down
the middle wall of partition between us; Ephesians 2:14.
With sin comes
condemnation to die in our soul but Jesus Christ provided the cure. By His
stripes He purchased for us the Spirit and grace of God to mortify our
corruptions which are the disease of our soul. If our heart is in a clean state
then we are fit to serve God.
Jesus Christ rose from
the dead on the third day and defeated sin and death after He died on the
cross. If you desire to know God then by all means accept Jesus Christ into your
heart by repenting of all your sins and invite the Son of God into your life. I
hope I was able to show you how much God loves us but we need to be clean. Sin
is dirty. Choose the pure way through Jesus Christ.
Do not get to
discouraged if everything that was said in this writing is not understood in
your mind. People have literally contemplated Isaiah chapter 53 and it took
them many years because God is Holy and His love is incomprehensible. I will
say the more we specifically grasp what Jesus Christ did for us the better we
can respond to God. If we walk around ignorant we kind of have a vague
relationship with Jesus Christ. The world can promise us nothing but God gives
us hope in His love. In fact I would even go as far as to say that the book of
Revelation is proof that all the promises people gives us gets wiped out in
judgment. This is when men and women are at their absolute worse but don't you
think this has been boiling in the hearts of individuals and groups for years?
Kind of like the person holding the grudge and he finally sees his offender and
just lets loose on the individual in all his bitterness. On the other hand God
is offering His Son to us as human beings trapped in this sin sick world. For
me it is an open and shut case but everyone has to make his or her own
decision.
God bless you,
Bob D.
