God Knows the Your Heart
Prov 15:3
The eyes of the LORD are in every place,
beholding the evil and the good.
OMNISCIENCE
The state of being all-knowing which the Scriptures reveals about God. Though Scripture affirms God’s immeasurable understanding, God’s omniscience is not a matter of abstract speculation. Rather, God’s knowing is a matter of personal experience. God knows us intimately. Such knowledge is cause for alarm for the unrighteous, but a calming assurance and confidence for Christians. God is always there: He Knows, and He cares.
Psa 147:5
Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.
1 Pet 3:12
For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous,
and his ears are open unto their prayers:
but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
1 Ki 8:39
Then hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place,
and forgive, and do,
and give to every man according to his ways,
whose heart thou knowest;
(for thou, even thou only, knowest the hearts of all the children of men;)
Job 23:10
But he knoweth the way that I take:
when he hath tried me,
I shall come forth as gold.
Psa 44:20-21
20: If we have forgotten the name of our God,
or stretched out our hands to a strange god;
21: Shall not God search this out?
for he knoweth the secrets of the heart.
Psa 139:1-12
1: To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.
O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me.
2: Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising,
thou understandest my thought afar off.
3: Thou compassest my path and my lying down,
and art acquainted with all my ways.
4: For there is not a word in my tongue,
but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether.
5: Thou hast beset me behind and before,
and laid thine hand upon me.
6: Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
it is high, I cannot attain unto it.
7: Whither shall I go from thy spirit?
or whither shall I flee from thy presence?
8: If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there:
if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.
9: If I take the wings of the morning,
and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;
10: Even there shall thy hand lead me,
and thy right hand shall hold me.
11: If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me;
even the night shall be light about me.
12: Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee;
but the night shineth as the day:
the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.
Mat 6:4-8
4: That thine alms may be in secret:
and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.
5: And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are:
for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets,
that they may be seen of men.
Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
6: But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet,
and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret;
and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
7: But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do:
for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
8: Be not ye therefore like unto them:
for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
Josh 22:22a)
The LORD God of gods,
the LORD God of gods,
He knoweth...
Jer 12:3
But thou, O LORD, knowest me:
thou hast seen me,
and tried mine heart toward thee:
Jer 17:9-10
9: The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked:
who can know it?
10: I the LORD search the heart,
I try the reins (Heb: examine the mind, as the interior self),
even to give every man according to his ways,
and according to the fruit of his doings.
Heb 4:12-13
12: For the word of God is quick, and powerful,
and sharper than any twoedged sword,
piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit,
and of the joints and marrow,
and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
13: Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight:
but all things are naked and opened
unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.
Jer 9:23-24
23; Thus saith the LORD,
Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom,
neither let the mighty man glory in his might,
let not the rich man glory in his riches:
24: But let him that glorieth glory in this,
that he understandeth and knoweth me,
that I am the LORD
which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth:
for in these things I delight, saith the LORD.
Joel 2:12-13
12: Therefore also now, saith the LORD,
turn ye even to me with all your heart,
and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:
13: And rend your heart, and not your garments,
and turn unto the LORD your God:
for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness,
and repenteth him of the evil
2 Tim 2:19
Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure,
having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his.
And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
